Terms of use

The rules of the road for using SURI Studios games and this website. Plain English where we can.

Last updated 27 May 2026

The short version. Play the games, share your score, have fun. Don't try to break things or pretend to be us. Everything is provided "as-is" because we're a small studio and we can't promise the puzzles will always be perfect.

01 Who's involved

These terms are an agreement between you and SURI Studios ("we", "us"), the indie studio behind Hayomit (היומית) and any future games published under the SURI Studios name. By downloading, opening, or playing our games — or by visiting this website — you agree to these terms.

If you don't agree, please don't use the games. No hard feelings.

02 What you can expect from us

03 What we expect from you

You agree not to:

04 Intellectual property

The games, the SURI Studios name and pebble logo, the original word lists and puzzles, and the underlying code are owned by SURI Studios. You get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use them for fun.

Your share-card output (the colored squares and a numeric score) is yours to post wherever you like. Screenshots of the game UI are fine to share too — we love seeing them. If you're using SURI Studios assets (logo, name, screenshots) in something commercial, please email us first.

05 User content

Our games today don't ask you to upload anything. If we add features in the future where you submit content (a custom puzzle, a comment, anything), you'll grant us a limited licence to display and operate that content within the games. We won't sell it or claim ownership of it.

06 Third-party services

Our games use third-party services for ads (Google AdMob), analytics (PostHog), and error tracking (Sentry). These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We pick partners we trust, but we can't be responsible for what they do on their own platforms.

The App Store and Google Play also have their own terms that apply to your download of the games.

07 Disclaimers

The games and this website are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise:

08 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SURI Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the games or this website. Our total liability for any direct damages is capped at the amount you've paid us in the last twelve months — which, for a free game, is zero.

Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limitations, in which case they apply to the extent the law lets them.

09 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when things change. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, mention the update inside the app on next launch. If you keep playing after a change, you've accepted the new terms.

10 Termination

You can stop playing at any time — just uninstall the app. We can suspend access to anyone clearly violating these terms (see § 03), though for a free puzzle game with no accounts, this is mostly theoretical.

11 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel. Any dispute that can't be resolved by emailing us is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo, except where local law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise (for example, the consumer-protection regimes of the EU and UK).

12 Get in touch

For terms-related questions: legal@suristudios.co. For everything else: hi@suristudios.co.

Heads up. These terms are a starting point. Have a lawyer who knows the App Store / Google Play developer agreements (and the consumer-protection laws in any market you ship to) review them before you launch.
