Privacy policy
A short, plain-English explanation of what SURI Studios collects, why, and how to ask us to delete it.
The short version. We don't ask for your name, your email, or your phone number. We don't sell anything you give us. We do show ads, which means our ad partners see a bit of device information so they can show ads that aren't terrible. You can opt out at any time in your device's settings.
01 Who we are
SURI Studios ("we", "us", "our") is the indie studio behind Hayomit (היומית) and any future puzzle and word games published under the SURI Studios name. Reach us at hi@suristudios.co.
This policy applies to our website (suristudios.co), our games on the App Store and Google Play, and any progressive web app version of those games.
02 What we collect
Things we don't ask for
You can play our games without signing up. We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, date of birth, or social-network handle. We don't have user accounts.
Things we collect to make the games work
- On-device puzzle state. Your in-progress guesses, streaks, and settings are stored locally on your device — never sent to us.
- Anonymous usage analytics. Aggregate counts like "how many people opened Hayomit today" and "which puzzle took longest to solve." We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider (e.g. PostHog with masked IPs) and we never see anything that identifies you individually.
- Crash and error reports. When the app crashes, the stack trace and device model are sent to our error tracker (e.g. Sentry) so we can fix it. We strip any user-entered content before sending.
Things our ad partners collect
Our games are free with ads. When we serve an ad, the ad network (Google AdMob and any partners they use) receives technical signals so they can pick a relevant ad and report it to the advertiser. This typically includes:
- An advertising identifier provided by your operating system (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) — you can reset or disable it in your device settings.
- Coarse location derived from your IP address.
- Device model, operating system version, and language.
- Which ad slot was shown and whether it was tapped.
We do not give ad networks anything you've typed into the game. The ad provider's own privacy policy governs what they do with the signals they receive — see Google's ad policy for AdMob specifics.
03 How we use what we collect
- To run the games and fix bugs.
- To understand which features matter and which to retire.
- To show ads that pay for our hosting and time.
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone outside the providers listed above. We don't email you (we have no way to — we don't have your email).
04 Cookies and local storage
Our website uses minimal cookies — only what's strictly necessary to remember your language preference and any analytics consent you've given. Our games use the device's local storage to save your in-progress puzzles and settings.
If you're visiting from the EU or UK, you'll see a one-time banner asking whether to enable analytics and personalised ads. Both are off by default.
05 Your rights
If you're in the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete any personal data we hold about you ("right to erasure").
- Object to how we use it, or restrict that use.
- Withdraw consent for analytics and personalised ads at any time.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@suristudios.co. We don't have user accounts, so for a deletion request we'll usually need either your advertising identifier or a recent crash-report ID to find what's tied to you.
06 Children
Our games are for clever minds of any age, but we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
07 Where your data lives
Our analytics and crash reporting providers are based outside Israel, primarily in the EU and US. When we transfer data internationally we rely on the appropriate legal mechanisms (Standard Contractual Clauses for EU transfers, etc.).
08 Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what little we collect. No system is perfectly secure, and we'd be lying if we said otherwise.
09 Changes to this policy
When this policy changes meaningfully, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, mention the change inside the app on next launch. Continued use after a change means you've accepted the update.
10 Get in touch
Questions, complaints, or right-to-be-forgotten requests:
- Email: privacy@suristudios.co

Heads up. This policy is a starting point written in plain English. Before you ship a game to a paid market or open the doors to EU/UK players, run it past a lawyer who knows GDPR and your local equivalent.
